St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care continues its commitment to delivering excellent patient care.

After a lengthy evaluation process, both St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care and their sister location South Georgia Immediate Care are proud to announce that we have (once again!) earned Urgent Care Association Accreditation.

UCA accreditation is critically important in that it signifies St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care is delivering the highest level of care to its patients. Steve Sellars, CEO says “This is a huge accomplishment that would not have been possible without a lot of long hours and hard work on the part of our urgent care colleagues. In addition to that, I think it bears pointing out this process, which took months to complete, was conducted amid the stress of an ongoing pandemic. I’m proud of our urgent care providers and staff, and thankful they’re part of the St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care family!”

To maintain UCA accreditation, urgent care centers must undergo on-site inspections by a team of independent clinicians every three years. Each operator must demonstrate those centers meet or exceed accreditation requirements which include clinical processes that are consistent with industry standards and best practices.

St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care and South Georgia Immediate Care are staffed by clinicians specializing in urgent care procedures and utilizing advanced technologies, including digital x-ray and an electronic medical records (EMR) system. St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care and South Georgia Immediate Care offers convenient hours Monday through Sunday.

St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care is not intended for major emergencies. If you are experiencing a life-threatening illness or injury, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
